Big Brother 25 (Week 3)- To Flip, or Not To Flip

While we were given a week's notice of an exciting return for Thursday night's episode, there was still a week of Big Brother to play. The fallout of Hisam's HOH reign had dire consequences for the house, leading to another chaotic week. The house was all over the place, with everyone being seen as a target. We got good episodes along with incredible live feeds for the week. After an excellent third week in the Big Brother house, there is plenty to discuss.  Sticking to the Plan...Unless... If you thought the talks to keep Reilly from being evicted during Week 2, Week 3 brought that same energy and multiplied it by 100. The plan with the initial nominations was to keep Hisam off the block so he couldn't play in the veto. Felicia put up Jag and Cameron with her initial nominations, carrying out the plan as it was initially laid out. Once Jag won the veto to take himself off the block, all hell broke loose as one group started to let paranoia sink in. With a virtual certa...

5 Things I Want in the MCU's Next Spider-Man Movie

For now, no Spider-Man film has been announced for the remainder of the Multiverse Saga. Tom Holland is expected to get another trilogy, but there's a question of when. After playing an integral part in Phase 3 and getting a massive film in Phase 4, we're still waiting for the next adventure for Peter Parker. I have a list of "demands" for the next time we see Spider-Man in the MCU. This will outline a little of what I want to see. Not all of these things would fit into one film, but predicting what could be seen is fun.  Where We Stand Right Now The end of No Way Home acted as a reset for Spider-Man. After having his identity exposed by Mysterio at the end of Far From Home, Peter's life is turned upside down. To prevent other villains from coming to their universe, Peter urges Doctor Strange to complete the spell he'd previously ruined at the film's beginning. Everyone would forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, including Ned and MJ. This presents an un...

Big Brother 25 (Week 2)- Settling Into the Norm

The Big Brother house was all over the place this week, making it a stressful week for those of us on the outside. Plans were made, then canceled, then made again, only to be canceled again. We were taken on a rollercoaster ride that ended up being disappointing in the end. We got an HOH reigns that became increasingly unhinged as the week progressed, leading us all to grow frustrated. There's plenty to discuss, so let's break down the second week in the BB house.  The Veto Competition A week doesn't go by without the Big Brother producers catching flack for something they've done wrong. This week's controversy stems from the veto competition we saw on Wednesday night's episode. Before the episode, there was an article released by Entertainment Weekly talking about how the show accommodated Matt due to his hearing disability. The article touts all of the changes the show made to prepare for Matt's arrival, including new audio equipment, allowing him to previ...

Ranking Live-Action Spider-Man Films

Within the Marvel realm, Spider-Man is hands down my favorite superhero. I can't pinpoint precisely when I chose him as my favorite, but that's unimportant. We've been fortunate enough to have several different iterations of Spider-Man at our disposal over the years, predating the MCU. We've also gotten some spin-offs to help expand the Spider-verse further.  I watched every live-action Spider-Man or Spider-Man-adjacent film beginning with the 2002 film with Tobey Maguire as the lead. "Live-action" is an essential distinction because that eliminates the two animated films that Sony has produced. They'd be near the top of the list if they were included.  I rated all 11 films in four categories: 1. The performance of the lead- The lead must perform well as both the person and the hero.  2. The villain- Good villains in superhero movies are just as important as good heroes.  3. The story- I know we all want to see epic collisions, but a good story is needed t...

Big Brother 25 (Week 1)- ...And So It Begins

The 25th season of Big Brother has officially begun, and it started with a bang. 16 houseguests entered the house on August 2 in pursuit of $750k and joining Big Brother immortality. Little did they know, this season would be unlike any we've ever seen. An early twist would bring one more person into the house, but this is more than just your average player. The first nine days left us with plenty to talk about as we embarked on a 100-day journey to crown the 25th winner of Big Brother.  The Elephant in the Room Before discussing the fun stuff, we must address the situation with Luke. On Wednesday morning at about 1 am in the house, Luke used a racial slur in the Have-Not Room with Jared, Cory, and Hisam present. While it was not directly targeted at Jared, a black houseguest, he was ejected from the house later in the afternoon. An ejection for a racial slur is unprecedented for the American version of the show, though it was seen in 2007 during the 8th season of Big Brother UK wh...

Big Brother 25: First Impressions

We've waited forever and we are now just days away from the 25th season of Big Brother. With the start of the season pushed back to the beginning of August, we, as fans, are about to embark on a 100-day journey. We now know who the 16 houseguests for the summer (and fall) are going to be after they were announced on Monday at 1 p.m. It's a group of 16 brand-new players and while we don't have too much information on the houseguest, I have more than enough to give my first impressions on each one of them. That's what the purpose of this is going to be. I'll give my initial thoughts on each one and my preseason power ranking of the houseguests based on my perceived likelihood of winning the season.  America Lopez (27, Born in Texas, Lives in Brooklyn, Medical Receptionist) Sometimes the bubbly person can skate their way to the very end and that seems to be what America is hoping to do this season. She mentioned somewhere that she isn't opposed to flirting to get t...
