Big Brother 25 (Week 8)- How to Extend a Season to 100 Days

If we're being honest, this was a waste of a week. The only interesting part of the week was Cameron and Jared competing to return to the house. If it were any other houseguests, this might've been fun to watch. Instead, it was two of the most disliked people in the house trying to keep their games alive. There were two competitions all week, so while someone was set to re-enter the house, it felt like a giant waste of time. Either way, I have some thoughts about it.  Zombies Have Invaded the House I said last week that I love a double eviction because of the drama it creates. Well, this double eviction did the exact opposite. While Cameron and Jared were evicted during last Thursday's episode, their games didn't end. Everyone got a sneaking suspicion something was up when it was announced there'd be no exit press for the visited houseguests. Everyone's fears would be clarified during the episode when Julie announced that Cam and Jared would get the chance to fi...

Big Brother 25 (Week 7): Twice the Fun...(or So We Thought)

I love a good Double Eviction. It always feels like there is plenty of good drama when condensing an entire week of Big Brother into a whole episode. Some great players have been shown the door as the second person in a Double Eviction. Tonight, there was speculation that it would be anything but an ordinary Double Eviction. By the end of the night, our worst fears were realized.  The Aftermath of Izzy's Eviction The lead-up to the first eviction this week was unlike anything we'd seen this season. For once, a plan was in place, and it didn't change during the week. We have Izzy's lack of a presence to blame. For weeks, Izzy was a catalyst for chaos, turning straightforward votes on their head with the help of Cirie. Instead, this week came and went without much of a surprise. As satisfied as I was with Izzy being evicted last week, I did miss having her impact the game in a disruptive way. It's very possible America would've been evicted if Izzy was in the hous...

Big Brother 25 (Week 6)- Space Cowboy to Base

With Cameron winning the power at the end of Thursday's episode, there was a lot of hope that things would be shaken up in the house. For a split second, that didn't appear to be the case. By the time Friday rolled around, it was clear that the game was about to change. Things didn't pick up until right before the evictions, but there were plenty of fireworks. There is a lot to unpack about the week. Taking Aim at the Fields Family...Kinda This was not a fun week to be associated with the Fields Family. Cameron took direct aim at the alliance he felt was controlling the house. He may have slightly miscalculated with his initial nominations, but he got a positive result at the end of the day. Despite Cam's wishes, Felicia was the target for most of the week. That changed Wednesday with many different triggers to set the dominos in motion. I credit America for kickstarting this campaign because she was one of the few people who wanted Izzy out when she went up on the bloc...

Big Brother 25 (Week 5)- Hitting the Reset Button

It felt like this week was a giant reset. If you're a fan of The Fields Family, this was the week for you. With one family member in charge, it really meant the entire family had their hands on the wheel. There was a clear plan in place to target two houseguests, but it was turned on its head quickly. This was one of the more tame weeks in the house, so there isn't much to discuss.  Jared's Use of a Slur During Week 1 of the season, we saw Luke evicted from the house for using the N-word with Jared in the room. While Luke would like you to think he slipped up and didn't mean it, I'm not buying his story. This week, another incident lit the internet on fire, and the flames haven't gone out yet. After the players were picked for the veto competition on Saturday, the live feeds returned to show Cory and Jared in a heated discussion about America possibly throwing the competition. The conversation went on for quite some time, but an important piece eventually made i...

Big Brother 25 (Week 4)- The Pressure is Building

The anticipation of this week began when Julie Chen Moonves announced the return of one of the most beloved and clamored-for competitions in Big Brother history. The epic battle would take place on the live feeds, with everyone waiting for the marathon to end. Once the war ended, the week that followed was a significant letdown. It will go down as the least eventful week we've seen thus far. There was still plenty to discuss, but the week lacked the talking points we've had during previous weeks. The Revenge of the Pressure Cooker When the Pressure Cooker was first introduced in 2005 for Big Brother 6, I was only seven years old. I was also 15 years away from being a fan of the show. Even though I didn't watch the initial competition, I learned about its history and significance to the legend of Big Brother. To provide some context, fan-favorite Kaysar was voted out of the house during Week 4 of the season while sitting next to his closest ally, Janelle. One week later, Ame...
